the lincolnshire garden

This is part of the Lincolnshire garden as of yesterday - was there doing a big clean up of nettles, nettles, nettles, and to be photographed for a forthcoming article. The tall skinny plants at the back, the leaves just reddening, are of Aralia elata

  1. How come your Lincolnshire garden looks so much greener and fresher than my poor, tired, browned-off mess? The arallia has coloured up superbly and is that aster on the right hand, middle distance 'Little Carlow?

Whatever it is, it all looks pretty and wholesomely naturalistic.

  2. Nigel hi. Thanks for your comments - glad you like it. I think Alec is going to tell you about the aster. I don't believe a word of what you say about your own!
